Window Rock, Arizona – Immediate Release – Diné Development Corporation (DDC) Shareholder Representatives confirmed Stanison Yazzie as DDC’s newest member of the Board of Directors, after a successful search and formal vetting process. Yazzie will serve a one year term. The DDC management and Board of Directors were commended by Shareholder Representatives for incorporating a young professional into DDC’s mission in support of providing employment opportunities and economic viability to the Navajo Nation.

Stanison Yazzie, Diné of Chinle, AZ, and a senior project manager at Western Millwork, Inc., brings a new perspective and energy to the DDC Board of Directors. His overall experience regarding the management of large-scale construction projects that include gaming venues, housing, and industrial developments will provide a unique business perspective that will surely complement existing DDC board members’ deep industry knowledge. Yazzie is a graduate of Northern Arizona University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in construction management.

Austin Tsosie, DDC CEO, said, “We look to our younger Navajo professionals like Stanison to encourage talented and driven Navajo youth to join our DDC team and help support our long-term Navajo leadership development goals and objectives.”

Diné Development Corporation (DDC) is wholly owned by the Navajo Nation government and was established to facilitate the Nation’s opportunities to conduct business through the creation of subsidiary corporations, joint ventures, and partnerships. DDC was formed in 2004 to help create new jobs, revenues and profits primarily through the participation in the U.S. Small Business Administration 8(a) Business Development program. The 8(a) Program was created to help small disadvantaged businesses compete in the American economy and access the federal procurement market. DDC’s business portfolio includes five companies: NOVA Corp., BRIC, DDC-ITS, Diné Source and DDC 4C.
