Window Rock, Arizona, For Immediate Release, July 14, 2020 – Diné Development Corporation (DDC) provided a $400,000 dividend to the Navajo Nation for calendar year 2019. The contribution designated $240,000 for the Navajo Nation General Fund and $160,000 for the Business and Industrial Development Fund (BIDF).
The dividend follows a $500,000 donation to the Navajo Nation COVID-19 crisis relief fund delivered in April 2020. Like many communities across the world, the Navajo Nation has been severely impacted by several recent events, including the pandemic and Wood Springs 2 Fire. “Our own Diné Development Corporation, this team is doing an amazing job…and working hard for our Navajo Nation,” stated Myron Lizer, Navajo Nation Vice President, during the Navajo Nation Town Hall meeting on July 14.
