DISA DISANet Operations Support

NOVA’s largest prime contract to date involved managing DISANet, the Defense Information Systems Agency’s (DISA) global IT enterprise network. We ensured the continuity of DISA’s full suite of IT services, which supported 12,000+ users at 52 CONUS and OCONUS locations. Our team supported tiers I-III help desk; network monitoring; server O&M; cyber security and IA; engineering; telephone and voice over internet protocol (VOIP); and video teleconference (VTC) services on a 24/7/365 basis. We supported more than 550 physical and virtual servers on three classification levels using nine principal tool suites to monitor worldwide operations.

In support of DISA, NOVA provides technical expertise to develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive strategy to uphold DISA’s security posture. Our personnel provide real-time support to monitor, investigate, and mitigate issues for unapproved or illicit activities on DISA enterprise networks. NOVA also delivers investigative support and security domain spillage incident management, including mitigation and cleanup activities.

DISA Configuration Management Support Services

In support of Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Implementation and Sustainment Center (ISC), NOVA developed an enterprise-wide Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) framework based on Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) Best Practices. NOVA was instrumental in establishing standardized processes for service asset and configuration management (SACM) and change management. Our critical implementations, including policies and governance, standardized SACM and change processes, and standard operating procedures (SOP) provided DISA with ITSM-driven efficiencies.

Don is an IT industry veteran with over 25 years of management, customer relations, and business development experience working with federal, municipal, and commercial customers. Don has experience supporting the project and agency levels for customers, such as HHS, DISA, NSA, USCYBERCOM, DHS, U.S. Marine Corps, Lockheed Martin, Exelis, Yahoo, Maryland Transportation Authority, Maryland Air National Guard, and University of Maryland. His principal competencies include operations management, ITIL and Six Sigma process implementation, customer relations/business development, and program management. As President, Don will oversee contract performance, finances, and the development of new and existing business.
