Diné Development Corporation Welcomes Two New Board Members

Scottsdale, AZ – October 14, 2024 – Diné Development Corporation is pleased to announce the appointment of General Robert B. Neller and Carlos A. Otal to its Board of Directors. The pair’s experience will play a vital role in guiding DDC’s strategic initiatives and enhancing its commitment to excellence. 

General Robert B. Neller brings more than 40 years of distinguished military leadership to the board. A career Infantry Officer and 37th Commandant of the U.S. Marine Corps from 2015 to 2019, General Neller held command roles across all levels of the Marine Corps, including Commander of the 3rd Marine Division and key assignments as a NATO Staff Officer in Europe and as J3 of the Joint Staff. His operational experience includes leadership roles in Operation Just Cause, Operation Restore Hope, and Operation Iraqi Freedom, in addition to serving as Deputy Commanding General for Multi-National Force West in Iraq’s Anbar Province. General Neller currently provides consulting and motivational speaking and serves as the Chairman of the Board of the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in history and speech communication from the University of Virginia and a master’s degree in human resources management from Pepperdine University.  

Carlos A. Otal is a transformational leader with more than 33 years of experience serving the public sector and financial service institutions. As the former National Managing Partner of Grant Thornton LLP’s Public Sector, Carlos led growth strategy, market development, service operations and delivery, steering the division’s integration following its successful sale of the practice. At the helm of the Public Sector practice, he grew the business to over $300M revenue while overseeing Public Policy and Governmental Affairs and serving on the Executive Leadership Team. Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Carlos held leadership roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC) and Oracle Corporation, serving numerous Fortune 500 financial institutions and governmental entities. A graduate of Virginia Tech’s Pamplin College of Business, Carlos holds a Certificate in Transformational Leadership from Oxford University’s Saïd Business School.
