DDC 4C Awarded Auburn University Natural Resource Management Task Order

Window Rock, Arizona, September 28, 2023 – DDC 4C, a subsidiary of Diné Development Corporation (DDC) and leading provider of quality-driven environmental services, proudly announces its contract award to support Auburn University’s Forestry and Wildlife Sciences. Under this contract, DDC 4C will provide the control and eradication of non-native invasive plant species (NIPS) in the Main Cantonment Area (MCA) and training lands of Fort Bragg U.S. Army Garrison, North Carolina.

NIPS present significant threatening impacts to the environment, displacing native flora and adversely affecting ecosystem integrity by altering water, energy, and nutrients, which can cause loss of biodiversity, increased soil erosion, damage to culturally significant resources, and degradation of threatened and endangered (T&E) species habitats. NIPS negatively impacts military operations, reduces military carry capacity, compromises long-term sustainability of training lands, diminishes training realism, restricts training land use, and hamper mission readiness.

DDC 4C’s team will provide services to survey, map, control, and eradicate targeted NIPS in accordance with Ft. Bragg’s Integrated Natural Resource Management Plan. The company aims to mitigate the significant conservation and compliance challenges for environmental and natural resource management on military lands. DDC 4C will deliver natural resource management to sustain Ft. Bragg testing and training lands that are critical to supporting the Army’s mission.

“We are honored to partner with Auburn University to uphold the conservation and sustainability of Ft. Bragg training lands,” stated Allan Stoddard, DDC 4C President. “Our team is committed to applying our environmental expertise to ensure the advancement of Army objectives.”

This achievement aligns with DDC’s ongoing commitment to fostering environmental sustainability of its communities. As a tribally owned enterprise, DDC takes pride in contributing to initiatives that drive positive change for lasting environmental impacts.

DDC 4C drives resource sustainability by providing government agencies and private sector clients with quality-driven environmental compliance and natural resource management solutions. Our specialized team fuses steadfast compliance with bold ingenuity to promote conservation and minimize risk. We are committed to honoring the Navajo legacy of environmental stewardship for future generations. DDC 4C is a Tribally owned, SBA 8(a) certified, Small Disadvantaged Business (SDB) and subsidiary of Diné Development Corporation.
